You should definitely start with the first one that came out and work your way up. The color came first, followed by the iD, then followed by the iD L. Each time, they have added a lot of new features. If you start out with the iD or the iD L, it can be too overwhelming and you own’t be able to appreciate previous versions. So I suggest starting with the Tamagotchi Color, then working your way up to the iD L. I think that will allow for the most enjoyment. :)
